Now that EonCoat corrosion resistant coating is available to paint and coating contractors and manufacturers around the world – it was high time someone hit the road in an effort to showcase the product to some large companies capable of using or distributing it.
That someone is EonCoat VP of Product Development, Billy George.
Billy took off on Monday, July 11 to embark on an 8,840-mile road trip that would take him across the United States, through Canada, and then back to Wilson, NC.
He took with him his trusty Jeep, plenty of EonCoat ready to be sprayed and the appropriate equipment to spray it on-site. Somehow he even found some room for a few personal items!
Billy will be periodically checking in from the road to give us a few updates on his travels that may take anywhere from 3-5 weeks before they bring him back to Wilson.

I left Spartanburg Monday morning at 7:30 AM and drove straight through to Waynesboro, Mississippi.
I arrived in Waynesboro around 10:15 AM and met with a large coating company that is looking to coat small steel hulled marine vessels As a test run we were going to coat a few oil barrels with EonCoat but the barrels needed to be stripped first so I left the EonCoat with them to apply at their own leisure.
I left Waynesboro around 1:30 PM with a destination of Dallas and an arrival time of 11:40 PM.

Had some breakfast and got ready to head over to a 10:30 AM meeting with a company that handles commercial and industrial coating projects just West of Dallas.
I meet with the owner for an initial sales meeting (he had been contacting us for a few months and luckily I was going through his neck of the woods), spoke with him in-depth about EonCoat and its capabilities, dropped off some literature and samples and was on my way to Oklahoma City.
On the way to OKC, before I got out of Texas, the motor mounts broke on my Jeep from pulling too much weight in the trailer. I had to take it easy the rest of the way to OKC.

Taking it easy….
Thursday, July 14, 2011
Finally made it to OKC and had a meeting with the owner of an industrial truck company. I did a demo for them and they almost immediately decided they wanted to use EonCoat for their purposes and also become a distributor and trainer of EonCoat in the local area.
On my way out to Canada I ran into more car trouble in Great Falls, MT when the mountain ride was more than my worn out Jeep could stand and the motor blew up (cracked heads). I had to leave my old Jeep there in Great Falls so I rented a U-Haul truck to pull the trailer on to Calgary and beyond.

Crossed through the border and into Canada around 2 PM. Will have 2 demos in Calgary and Alberta in the next few days and then head on to Saskatchewan.
To be continued…
